I forgot a couple of my most recent creations, so here they are!

Practice Cake with my new cake making birthday tools!

What I was practicing for is the 2-tiered cake for my friends' birthday. A wobbly first attempt! (With inside carrot cake and coconut cake. AWESOME)

For christmas I made a wintery tree cake (with the new cake tin santa gave me <3)

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Birthday cake for my grandad and Blueberry muffins

For new years I made a chocolate/Kahlua cheesecake with Oreo cookie base. Yum!

First Batch

Hello there,

This certainly feels like too many posts in one day, but oh well! In this post I will share all the foodie pictures I have so far, where possible with short descriptions. I have also added a link to my blog to my entire picture database. These are the 'raw' pictures - no captions, no explanations. Just all my pictures. If you care to see them en masse. But now, with no further ado: the start of "I'm a Foodie"!

Cakes!

The Cupcake (and muffin) parade

non-cake foodie-stuff

ps. this very last one isn't mine ;) this delicious tiramisu was made by my good friend Roxy, and just looked too good not to be included in this blog ;)

pps. feel free to leave comments, ask questions, etc! Once I get properly started I will tell you more about each 'creation', for now the pictures will have to do :)

I'm working on creating a good database for all my pictures (rather than simply posting them all here, I will try to create an online album somewhere). In the mean time, please enjoy some pictures I took of be-autiful cakes at the Holland Sugar Art Show last May 8th.

And so it starts

My name is Jennifer, and I'm a foodie.

I've always enjoyed good food (though some may call me picky as to what I will actually eat), but over the recent years I have developed particular enjoyment of cooking and baking in itself. I especially like to bake - cakes, cupcakes, muffins etc. I always liked baking a cake here or there, but after a friend gave me this wonderful cupcake recipe book with all sorts of icing and decorating tips, my cupcake/muffin baking craze began. This developed further after christmas when Father Christmas spoiled me with all sorts of baking and cookery books. This is when the baking craze took off. I have taken pictures of all my endeavours, which have moved on from pretty cupcakes to full on 2-tiered birthday cakes. Most recently I have started to try out fondant icing and sugar art. My progress is what you will be able to follow via this blog. "I'm a Foodie" is a (photo)record of my successes (and failures) in baking. Enjoy!
